These inexpensive Letter Cards were designed by a Reading Recovery Teacher specifically for Making Words activities with small groups. The Letter Card set includes 3 of each letter, with upper case one side, lower case on the reverse of each card.
This unique set uses the Zaner-Bloser manuscript font, with straight tails on the lower-case "t" and "y", and also includes D'Nealian versions of those two letters (with curved tails). Printed in black ink on cream colored cardstock to reduce contrast (this helps some students who have trouble with black print on white paper).
Cut to separate the cards using a paper cutter. For extra durability, before cutting you can laminate them on your school's laminating machine (make sure your laminating machine uses the right kind of plastic, the kind that sticks to the paper and not just to itself; check with your school's secretary to make sure).
Use with pocket charts, such as our PC40001 Making Words Pocket Chart for Making Words activities. See Making Words, Making Big Words, Making More Words, and Making More Big Words for the books by Pat Cunningham.
